Founded in 1978 by Ed Turner Sr. and Tryon Fedorick Sr., Superior Drywall has consistently been one of the top 5 drywall contractors in the Phoenix Metro for the past 40+ years. In 1995, Ed and Tryon were offered the opportunity to acquire the in-house stucco operations of a custom home builder serviced by Superior Drywall, and Sierra Stucco was born. Given Superior Drywall’s outstanding reputation, Sierra Stucco received numerous opportunities and quickly became a leading regional stucco contractor. In 2000, Joe Turner Jr. and Tryon Fedorick Jr. joined the company as second-generation operators.

The business continued to thrive under the new leadership. In 2013, Joe Turner began exploring opportunities to utilize a long-held general contracting license to expand the Company’s service offerings, and in 2015 the Company received an opportunity to paint for KB Homes. The work was outstanding and consistent with the quality and performance of both Superior Drywall and Sierra Stucco. Other home builders became aware of the new service offering, and the Company’s reputation enabled SDC to be quickly and consistently successful. In only a few years, SDC has grown to paint nearly 1,000 houses per year.
